Hotel Araxa was built in 1958 by the Catalan architect Francesc Mitjans, famous for having designed Camp Nou, FC Barcelona’s stadium, his most representative project. Mitjans is a Rationalist architect and a representative of the Sant’Elia, Terragni (Europe) and Frank Lloyd Wright (United States) schools of architecture.
The building is protected as a cultural heritage site and it presents a placard which states its inclusion into the Iberian Docomomo Register (foundation for the documentation and preservation of architecture and urbanism of the Modern Movement).
Hotel Araxa is an urban hotel created with a cozy and colonial atmosphere, designed so you can enjoy a relaxing and casual stay in the heart of Palma.
